These waist high waves had a suprising amount of spunk. They tended to jack up out of nowhere, and offered steep drops and fast rides. A poorly placed swim zone and an overzealous lifeguard forced surfers to curtail some nice lefts.

The offshore winds generated steep faces and beautiful rooster tails. Short boarders who were unable to cross the sections could settle for some punchy aerials.

Longboarders came out en masse to surf some fun little glossy waves for a good cause.

Although there were waves to had, surfers struggled to cross the sections.

These surfers use the remaining sunlight to grab some small, lightly-textured faces.


Wave aficionados of all kinds were out in full force today tackling the outside sets, the shore break, and everything in between.

A dozen or so surfers enjoyed some good-sized sets this afternoon. Local artist, Glenn Chase, was also on the scene to capture the afternoon.

The clouds, surf, and sun formed an amazing setting for surfers to enjoy their evening.

This surfer enjoyed solitude and a killer sunset by making the best of some knee-high surf.
